Account Opening Requirements
1. Current Accounts (Cedi)
a. Personal Account: - i. Photo identification (e.g. passport, driving licence etc.);
Photo identification (e.g. passport, driving licence etc.);
One passport-size photograph; Residential Address (House No.) and Postal Address;
Letter of Introduction from employers / company; or introduction by an existing customer; confirmation of residential address by utility bills (Telephone, Water, Electricity), Tenancy Agreement.
b. Corporate Account – Letter of Introduction from Auditors; Identification of signatories; company stamp; two (2)
passport-size pictures of signatories. The following must also be submitted:
Cert. of Incorporation (Certified true copy)
Regulations of the Company (copy)
Certificate to Commence Business (Certified true copy)
Resolution of the Board of Directors
Specimen signatures of the Directors and authorized signatories
Companies Form 3 and 4 (copies)
b. Enterprise Account – Letter of Introduction from Auditors; Identification of signatories; company stamp; two (2)
passport-size pictures of signatories. The following must also be submitted:
Form A; Registration Certificate (copy);
2 passport size pictures of signatories;
Identification as in 1.a above.
2. Current Account (Foreign Account) – The requirements for this account are the same as (1) above.
3. Savings Account (Cedi)

Normal – Two passport-size photographs; Photo identification (e.g. passport, driving license etc.);
Residential Address (House No.) and Postal Address; Confirmation of residential address by utility bills (Telephone, Water, Electricity), Tenancy Agreement. Employer’s Reference letter.
